The following is a representation of just some of the charitable organizations that United Church of Christ Midland supports.
Shelterhouse is a non-profit organization committed to provide safety, shelter, advocacy and counseling to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Serving both Midland and Gladwin Counties, our efforts remain focused on the goal to eliminate violence in today's society.
Midland Area Homes
Midland Area Homes, Inc. (MAH) helps low income people in need maintain and improve housing conditions for safe and independent living. We work closely with local churches, area agencies and businesses, and individual volunteers and donors to build a stronger community - one home at a time.
Agape Community Transformation (ACT) is an ecumenical organization of Christians in Muko Sub County, Uganda and the USA witnessing to the good news of the Gospel by seeking to affect the spiritual, physical, economic and societal conditions in our communities. We are a partnership with multiple backgrounds and experiences. ACT exemplifies how Christians in ecumenical fellowship together can grow spiritually and work within God's plan to restore the Kingdom of God as Christ intended.
Fresh Aire Samaritan Counseling Center
Fresh Aire Samaritan Counseling Center is an affordable source of psychological and spiritual counseling for residents of the Great Lakes Region provided by licensed and trained psychologists, marriage and family therapists, professional counselors or social workers.
At Fresh Aire, the focus is on more than just the symptoms and counselors offering advice and direction. Counselors also help clients recognize, explore, and address the dynamics underlying their distress. The concept is to help individuals and families experience healing, growth, and wholeness of body, mind and spirit.
