megan@uccmidland.org

Biography

Megan is a graduate of CMU with a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and a minor in American Sign Language.  Megan worked as an Educational Interpreter for the Deaf for 15 years before going back to school and earning a master’s degree in School Psychology in 2021.  Most recently, Megan served as a mental health specialist for the Coleman School District, teaching Social Emotional Learning skills to K-12 students.

Megan grew up in the Lutheran Church and received religious education as a child from preschool through 7th grade.  As life progressed, she’s attended several different denominations of churches, gravitating towards those that felt most like the loving, kind, and caring communities that she feels Jesus would want for us.  Feeling a pull to find a Christian community for her and her family over the summer, Megan found UCC (and is so glad she did)!  She has appreciated the kind and welcoming congregation and inspiring sermons.

Megan is married to her high school sweetheart, Ty, and they have three sons – Bentley, Finn, and Sawyer.  They have a house full of pets, including two “goofy golden doodles”, a cat, and a rabbit.  In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with friends and family, and watching her children participate in all of their sports and activities.  She loves curling up with a good book and a warm cup of coffee in her big, fluffy, reading chair!
